As this is the final week of Women’s History Month, Grade 11 Law is extending a final invitation to all staff and students to check out our display at the front of the Caf.  Remember you are welcome to help us grow the display or to use it as inspiration in your own classrooms.  Let’s get talking about the remarkable women who have paved the way for a brighter future. 

The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) will take place on November 4 and 5. Grade 10 Students will have an assigned day to write; it is based on your home room class. On the day that you are not writing the literacy test- it is an asynchronous from home day. Grade 9 students will attend Take your Kid to Work day on November 4 and be in classes on November 5^th. A reminder that all Grades 11 and 12 will be working asynchronously from home on November 4 and 5. 

Attention all students who have board-issued S.E.A. laptops.  If you need your device, please go to the Wellness Centre for pick up. 

Congratulations to the Jr Boys Soccer Team on going undefeated in the Fall Tournament! In the first game, Daniel led the team to a 7-3 victory over SJC, scoring a hat trick! It took a full team effort to take down Holy Trinity 4-2 in the second game. In back-to-back games, the team demonstrated grit and determination on their home field, well done boys! See you at Varsity Soccer tryouts in the Spring. 

Welcome to fall spirit week! Today is “apple of my eye” day. Replace uniform tops with green or red and enjoy some apple cider at lunch. Tomorrow is cozy tops vs cozy bottoms. Replace EITHER tops OR bottoms with cozy items. NOT BOTH! If cozy tops are worn, uniform bottoms are needed. If cozy bottoms are worn, uniform tops are needed.  

Yoga club meets tomorrow in 1035. We will do a spooky halloween flow. Wear cozy clothes and come prepared to move.  

Attention all students interested in joining this year’s swim team. Permission forms are now available outside of room 3010. Practices begin next week and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 at the Wayne Gretzky Centre. You do not need to be a competitive swimmer to participate. See Ms Ristov if you have any questions. 

Do you have a musical talent that you’d like to share? Looking for the perfect venue? Consider performing at this year’s Fall Coffee House! This student council event will take place the evening of November 19^th. If you are interested in performing, please email a short audition video to Ms  Ristov no later than 5pm on Wednesday, November 4^th. 

Attention students: RUMBA, originally planned for Thursday, has been cancelled. In its place, Latino Club will take place this Thursday at 3 p.m.  

All Cross-country runners are to check in with a coach today to confirm their attendance at CWOSSA on Thursday! This is very important, as we need to register athletes by tomorrow.  

Congratulations to the junior girls’ flag football team who placed 3^rd at their tournament on Friday. Coaches are very proud of the learning and improvement seen as the day progressed. Great job to Daya, who was a leader on and off the field. Well done to Taylor who took home the MVP award! We look forward to seeing you girls back next year!
