The Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) will take place on November 4 and 5. Grade 10 Students will have an assigned day to write; it is based on your home room class. On the day that you are not writing the literacy test- it is an asynchronous from home day. Grade 9 students will attend Take your Kid to Work day on November 4 and be in classes on November 5^th. A reminder that all Grades 11 and 12 will be working asynchronously from home on November 4 and 5. 

Attention all ACE Club members! The Advocacy, Community, and Empowerment Club will be holding a brief mandatory meeting TODAY, during senior lunch in Room 2028, the Art Room. Attendance will be taken, so all members are required to attend. Thank you!

To all potential Grade 12 graduates, the time has come to now book your grad photos online! Follow the instructions and Scan the QR code displayed in the ATV promos or posters located around the school to book your time slot. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Delnick 

Attention all Cadets, Scouts and Girl Guides!  To honour Remembrance Day on November 11^th you are invited to swap your ACS uniform for your official one.  We will also take a photo immediately after announcements for the yearbook.  If you would like to participate, please write your name on the list outside of the Main Office before end of day on Monday, Nov. 9^th.   

Attention boys interested in trying out for the non-contact hockey team.  There will be a mandatory meeting today during Grade 10 lunch in portable 23.  You must pick up a permission form; have it signed by a parent/guardian and return it at the tryout.  Without a signed permission form, you will NOT be allowed on the ice.  

Vocal Ensemble members are reminded of your auditions for a solo in “Seasons of Love” are due TONIGHT by midnight to the dropbox on D2L/Brightspace. See you tomorrow at rehearsal from 3-4:30pm! 

Attention all senior boys wanting to tryout for the basketball team. Tryouts start this week on Tuesday and Friday at 3:00pm. Make sure to grab a permission form by the male PE office and bring it signed to the first tryout. Please see Ms. Cassano or Mr. Petrella with any questions.  

On Thursday, the Cross-country team participated at CWOSSA in Guelph. Athletes have been training very hard for this race and it was evident. Great job to all the athletes who ran through crowds, raced longer than anticipated, set personal best pace times and all who battled the hills. The coaches are proud of you ALL! A big shout out goes to the Novice Girls team who placed 5^th led by Reece. A BIGGER shoutout to the Novice Boys team who placed first and will be competing at OFSAA next week! Congratulations to Ben, Philip, Maddox, Caleb and Daniel! Junior girls were led by Lena, and boys by Godwin with a 3:51 personal best pace. Senior girls were led by Stella placing 12 out of 246 runners and boys were led by Oliver placing 39 out of 287 runners. 

 Attention DECA Club – your regional competition exam is today.  That’s right, today, beginning at 1:45pm Period 7 in the Room 2007 computer lab.  All DECA regional participants must complete the competition exam.  It is today, during Period 7 in Room 2007.
