Behaviour Services

WHO ARE WE?

Our Behaviour team consists of 3 Child and Youth Workers and 2 Social Workers who are trained to work with students on emotional, social, and/or behavioural issues, which are affecting their academic achievement and well-being. With parental consent and depending on the student’s need, either the school social worker or the CYW may be assigned. This decision is determined by the Mental Health Lead, in consultation with team members. Best practices and avenues for support may include; individual, group or classroom support.

Behaviour Services staff are available to our high schools for designated days and can be available at other times when needed.  They  work closely with the school’s administration and Alert Team to ensure our student’s social/emotional needs are met.
